The final band concert of the summer took place in West End Park, March, on Sunday with Freddie and Friends jazz band.

Audiences have attended in record numbers throughout the season and the mayor of March, Councillor Jan French, thanked everyone for their support. She also thanked Reg Kemp, who had organised the concerts, and the Air Training Corps for setting up gazebos and chairs for the various bands each week and clearing everything away afterwards. A collection raised about £70 for the ATC.

The mayor announced that a new bandstand, supplied by Fenland District Council, will be in place at the start of next year's season.
