FIREFIGHTERS from across Cambridgeshire have today tackled a blaze at Wimblington grain store.
The alarm was signalled at 11.20am after a fire started in a grain dryer at the store, in Hook Lane, measuring 6m by 6m by 18m.
Crews from March were joined by the rescue vehicle from Huntingdon, an additional appliance from Huntingdon and the turntable ladder based at Dogsthorpe.
Firefighters used working at height equipment in a bid to access the blaze before extinguishing the flames using hose reels.
