FIRE crews raced to a Fenland home to release a man who had nailed his hand to some wood.
The incident happened on Tuesday at around 4pm and a crew from Whittlesey was sent to Bellmans Road, Whittlesey, to help free the man.
It took just 20 minutes for the man to be freed: meanwhile medics had arrived and took him to hospital for treatment.
A fire service spokesman said: “Our fire fighters released the man who was taken to hospital. Crews returned to their stations by 4.15pm”.
