Firefighters cut woman from car after collision with skip lorry in Doddington

A woman was cut from her car by firefighters this afternoon after a collision with a lorry in a Fenland village.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to Doddington shortly before 4pm after a crash involving a skip lorry and a Nissan Micra car. A fire service spokesman said the collision was in Wimblington Road. Police closed the road between Wood Street and Old Station Way.

He said: “One female casualty was released by firefighters and is now in the care of ambulance crews. Her condition is unknown.”

Fire crews from Chatteris, March and Wisbech attended the collision.

The road was closed near the junction with Beech Avenue.
