FIREFIGHTERS have freed a woman from her car this afternoon after a crash on the A141 in Westry, March.

Two fire crews from March and the rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe were called to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 3pm. The collision involved a Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Mercedes.

A female was released from the Mercedes using specialist cutting equipment and the vehicles were recovered. The road was blocked briefly but there were no closures.

The crash comes eight days after Chris French - son of Fenland councillor Jan French - was injured in a horrific crash with a lorry outside their family home on the A141, Westry. For the full story, click the related link.
