A foal had to be rescued after getting stuck up to its neck in mud in a water-filled ditch in Soham this morning.
At 9.55am, crews from Cambridge and Ely were called to a reports of a horse stuck up to its neck in mud near Qua Fen Common.
Firefighters donned in-water suits and used animal rescue equipment to rescue the foal under supervision of the vet.
Crews returned to their stations by 12.20pm.
