A horse was rescued from a water-filled ditch in March last night.
At 10.05pm, crews from Dogsthorpe and March and a rescue vehicle were called to a horse stuck in a ditch off Whittlesey Road.
The owner was present and worked closely with firefighters to use a teleporter to stabilise the bank of the ditch so crews could improve access to the horse.
Specialist firefighters trained in animal and water rescue used animal rescue equipment to safely rescue the horse, under the supervision of a vet.
Crews returned to their stations by 12.10am.
