THE release of 300 balloons has raised more than £200 for a Fenland pre-school.

All the balloons were sponsored by members of the Puddleducks Pre-school, of Upwell, and villagers.

They were released from the village Methodist Church garden as part of a car boot sale to raise money for new equipment for their classroom.

The person who sponsored the balloon recorded as travelling the furthest on August 18 will receive a £50 prize.
