AIR cadets from 1220 (March) Squadron few in the Grob Tutor primary trainer at RAF Wyton to gain a better understanding about flight.
The chance came after they passed the airmanship sections of their classification syllabus. The cadets learned the controls and got to take over for some basic flight training.
Cadet Callum Willox, 14, said of his flight: “At first I was really worried about taking control of the aircraft but the pilot guided me through and it was a lot easier than I expected to fly straight and level.
“I’m really looking forward to going again.”
