Flying medics administered emergency pain relief after man is crushed by falling timber in Wisbech

A man was treated by Magpas medics after suffering leg injuries when timber fell on him in Wisbech.

Dr Ed Barnard and paramedic Alex Pearce were flown to the scene of yesterday’s (Tuesday) incident and the Magpas helicopter landed in the old football ground in Lerowe Road. The Magpas team provided advance pain relief before the man, in his 40s, was taken to hospital in King’s Lynn where his condition, on arrival, was said to be stable.
