HAVE office, will travel, enjoy seems to sum up the motto of newly elected Fenland District Council chairman, Councillor Bernard Keane.
Glancing through his schedule for June I see he is off to Thetford (twice) for a civic service and civic reception, a change of command ceremony at RAF Alconbury, an 'at home' with the Bishop of Ely and the Midsummer Fair in Cambridge.
Just to complete the merriment there was also also a trip to Gorefield Show, a hangar dance at RAF Molesworth, another civic service (this time in Huntingdon) and a summer party at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
The Fenland flag has never been flown so fulsomely.
