A free bus service will run on Saturday in a bid to get more people to come into Wisbech.
Wisbech Town Council has teamed up with bus company Norfolk Green to provide free travel on the route 66 Wisbech Town Bus.
Those who take advantage of the first time initiative, which is being run to promote Love Your Local Market, will get to browse the town’s Saturday market and tuck in to some free cupcakes.
Also on Saturday, as part of the Wisbech Arts Festival, there will be exhibitions in the market place and Thomas Clarkson Academy and an evening concert at St Peter’s Church.
Wisbech Town council deputy town clerk Susanah Farmer said: “Hopefully the free bus service will encourage people who were not thinking about it to come into town.
“Wisbech gets a negative reputation but there is so much going on at the moment.”
On May 24, dance troupe Alison’s Street Dance will perform in the market place.
