A MARCH man who was relentlessly bullied as a child, and trained in Reiki healing to restore his confidence, was so moved by the bullying of a seven-year-old child highlighted in the Cambs Times that he has offered healing free of charge.Steven and Ingrid Rudelhoff, of St John's Road, run workshops for children of all ages in Reiki, the ancient Japanese form of hands-on healing.Ingrid said: "When we read in your paper a young boy's ordeal at the hands of a bully we were so touched we wanted to offer him a free day's workshop and a Reiki treatment for his mother."During our Reiki workshops for children, we have found it calms them and restores confidence."Steven said: "One girl, who had been badly bullied, was too frightened to go into March town centre alone, but now, after the workshop, she is able to go out."Steven, 49, originally from London, knows all about bullying. He said: "I have a cleft palate and a hare lip so, at school, I used to be surrounded by 10 to 15 boys all calling me rude names all the time."Steven, and Ingrid, 42, who both have two children from previous marriages, have also helped youngsters with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and behavioural problems. Both are Reiki Masters and members of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (BRCP).Steven said: "Reiki dates from 1919 and is completely safe."It involves either the laying on of hands or hands hovered above the body to release inner energy. Once learned, it can be practised on yourself."CONTACT: The Rudelhoffs on 01354 654094 or visit their website at www.rudelhoff.co.uk
