Take your prized pet to a fun dog show in Emneth over the Bank Holiday weekend to help raise money for mistreated dogs.

The show includes categories of best rescue and best fancy dress dog alongside categories including pedigree, puppy and veteran.

The show has been arranged by Ricky Coster who lived in Spain for fives years and said he witnessed first hand the appalling treatment of some of the dogs over there.

“When I returned here I wanted to do something to help which is why we have put on this event, to raise funds for greyhounds in Spain,” he said.

“Some of the things you see out there are distressing, it is just a small thing to help.”

All money raised will go to Galgos, a charity dedicated to rescuing abandoned dogs from Spain.

The show is on Monday May 30 at Emneth car boot field from 11am.

There will also be bouncy castles, refreshments and a raffle with plenty of prizes including a spa day.

The show has 16 classes - six pedigree and 10 novelty classes.

Judge will be Monica Rusca.
