A traditional fete featuring music from Ely’s Rocking Ukeleles raised £1,000 for church restoration funds.
St Andrew’s fete in Sutton was opened by town crier Averil Hayter-Smith and featured a host of stalls, children’s activities, games and refreshments.
Brenda Styles, one of the event organisers, said: “It was amazing, everybody had a wonderful time and so much raised to help keep our beautiful church maintained and repaired.
“People were very generous with their time and support and the Rocking Ukuleles were excellent.”
Also at the event were hand made soaps, tombola, a raffle and barbecue.
