THE funeral for Lisa Owen, daughter of Fenland councillor Kit Owen, took place today at St Peter’s Church, March.
Lisa, 42, a former Royal Navy nurse, suffered chronic ill health because of a serious back injury sustained on military service and died unexpectedly at her home in Wisbech St Mary on January 3.
The Rev Matthew Bradbury, vicar of Wisbech St Mary, said: “Lisa was a valued and much loved member of the congregation. Every day she faced pain and restricted mobility with fortitude and good humour. She was a fine example to us all of courage, resilience and adversity.”
The service was followed by cremation at Fenland Crematorium.
