A DOG show to raise money for Wisbech Hospital was a huge success with 130 lurchers and terriers taking part - more entries than ever before.

The event at Outwell Playing Field on Saturday was organised by the Outwell Friends of Wisbech Hospital and helped raise about 500 for the hospital.

Organiser Margaret Buck said: “It went very well indeed. We had people come from as far as Derbyshire, London and Kent.

“There were 20 fun classes and prizes for categories like waggiest tail, happiest family and fancy dress.”

The best in show for the 13th annual show was a 10-month-old Jack Russell terrier called Dot, owned by Diana Collis from Emneth.
