A boxing legend and one of the world’s top snooker players took the plunge to help pay for Chatteris Town to repair their floodlights.
Dave Boy Green MBE and world number 12 Joe Perry joined Lilies chairman Julian Young for the duck dive at the Empress Pool, raising £700 for the club.
Prizes ranged from £5 up to £50, with a list of winners on the club’s website (www.chatteristownfc.org.uk).
A club spokesman said: “We would like to take the opportunity to thank both Joe Perry and Dave Boy Green MBE for taking part in the event. They were both brilliant and everybody enjoyed themselves.
“We would also like to say thank you to all who purchased ducks. We can now safely say that our floodlights will soon be working on full power after doing the repairs with the money raised.”
