GALLERY: Couple prepare ‘Halloween Spooktacular’ at their Fenland home to raise funds for Eddie’s

Jo and Tommy Kelly have been befrienders with Eddie’s for almost four years and in this time they have developed a great friendship with Stephen.

Jo and Tommy said: “The befriending scheme allows and encourages people to meet to enjoy common interests and share fun times in a safe, controlled but flexible way.

“We very quickly became friends with Stephen and have a great relationship with him.”

The couple says they have developed a great insight into the work of Eddie’s and have decided to fundraise for them with a Halloween event.

Each year Jo and Tommy decorate their front garden with all sorts of ghostly items for Halloween and this year they will once again be doing the same.

On the evening of Halloween Jo and Tommy will be encouraging families to come trick-or-treating and take a look at their outstanding display, have a photo taken in amongst all the mysterious delights and enjoy some pumpkin soup.

All donations made will be given to Eddie’s to support local adults with a learning disability.

The Kellys live almost opposite The Men of March Pub, in Wisbech Road, and would love for as many people as possible to come along, take a look at the wonderful display and make a donation to support Eddie’s.

Suzanne Lombardo, volunteers co-coordinator at Eddies said; “We are thrilled that Jo and Tommy have kindly decided to support Eddie’s this year with their traditional Halloween activities.

“We hope lots of people go along to check out the display and help support Eddie’s.”
