There was dancing, drama and music as students got the chance to show off their talent at the annual winter showcase on Tuesday.

The show, which was organised by head of performing arts Angela King, was one of the highlights of the year at Cromwell Community College.

The school’s bands and choir took to the stage alongside drama students and members of two dance clubs.

Head of music Corinna Holdaway said: “The performance was a combination of dance, drama and music.

“There were performances from the school’s ever popular bands, larger than ever choir and the GCSE drama group put on Hansel and Gretel.

“The two dance clubs also performed - one of them did a Hairspray medley.

“Overall, a very large number of students were involved. It was a chance for them to showcase their talent in front of family, friends and the school community. It was a real success.”
