People turned out in force to enjoy a day of vintage cars, music and fun for the sixth annual Whittlesey Festival.
The day began with a grand parade of groups who wound their way round the streets in a colourful display of community spirit.
People packed the town to enjoy marching bands, dancers and street entertainers.
Pauline Edge, one of the festival coordinators, said: “The day was a great success despite the weather.
“The fly past is the best one we have had yet with crowds waving union jacks as the planes circled three times over the Buttercross.”
The event saw a wide range of music including a barbershop quartet and the Whittlesey Wind Ensemble.
More than 120 vintage vehicles and motorbikes lined broad Street and Market Street for enthusiasts to browse while visitors to the festival were treated to a World War two spit fire and Hurrican flypast from RAF Coningsby.
A traditional craft fair was held at the Childers Club in Station Road where there were a host of home made goodies for sale.
Local schoolchildren held a schools art exhibition and there was a beautiful baby competition held at the Ivy Leaf Club.
The vent was officially opened by Whittlesey Mayor councillor David Mason.
Festival goer Janet Mawby won a hamper in a special prize draw at the Festival.
