YOUNG footballers played an annual tournament as part of a fund raising day that netted £400 for team funds.
Estover Park Youth FC held their 2nd Annual Fun Day at Burrowmoor School.
The day consisted of an international themed football tournament amongst all youth team players, with the winners and runners up trophies sponsored by Once Upon A Cake.
There was also a bouncy castle, face painting, a raffle, hoola hoop competition, penalty shoot out, water drenching in the stocks and food stalls.
In the adult match, the Club Officials beat the Parents 3-2.
Estover Youth FC Club chairman Gary Davis said: “With the rain holding off, the club had a terrific day celebrating how far we have come as a club. “The event benefitted from our new Funding Raising Sub-Committee, who could ensure that the event was bigger and better than the previous year.
“I would also like to thank the local businesses who contributed to the event, including Wingy from the Ship Public House (catering), Nats Happy Hoppers (Bouncy Castle), Pinks and Glitter Pamper Parties, (face painting).”
Prizes were donated by Sainsburys, the Griffin, Tescos, WH Smiths, the Red Lion and Body Balance UK.
Mr Davis said: “The club raised over £400, an excellent amount for our club and will help kick off the new season.”
