HUNDREDS of members past and present flocked to Wisbech on Saturday to celebrate the 100th anniversary of scouting in the town.
A fun-filled afternoon of team games and challenges were competed for in beautiful sunshine as a century of the movement in the capital of the Fens was celebrated.
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers of all ages swapped tales and worked together to build a cart, complete a giant jigsaw and raise flags to mark the anniversary event.
Town mayor, Councillor Jonathan Farmer, joined in with the fun at Wisbech Grammar School with his wife Susanah admitting “it was a really enjoyable day”.
A specially designed flag to celebrate the 100th anniversary has also been flying over Wisbech Town Hall this week as part of the celebrations.
