IT was Grease Lightning galore at The Boathouse in Wisbech on Friday as staff donned 70s clothing to raise money for Comic Relief.
James Dobson, from the centre’s cafe, was cheered on as he danced for four minutes copying John Travolta’s moves from the 1978 classic Grease. He raised around 90 through sponsorship and donations from members of the public who watched him perform.
Staff and tenants of the centre also raised around 171 throughout Red Nose Day after dressing up in retro clothing and holding a raffle and bucket collection.
Kim Collins, from The Boathouse, said: “We had lots of fun and raised some money in the process. We’re absolutely thrilled about the amount we raised.”
