CROWDS flocked to the Gorefield Show on Saturday with horses and ponies once again proving to be the major attraction.
The 49th Gorefield Show contained an expanded pony show, now a qualifier for BSPS and PUK. The ponies were then closely followed by their larger relatives, the heavy horses, in events judged by Justin Cowles.
However, a host of other activities, including the return of the spectacular vintage carriage display, were enjoyed in fine sunshine. The rare sight of a hooded cabriolet, thought to be only one of the two vehicles in the country, also delighted spectators.
The afternoon of fun for all the family also included a novelty dog event, Mike Willis’ falconry display and a wide-range of side shows to keep visitors’ entertained throughout the day.
