DOZENS flocked to St Mary’s Church in Whittlesey at the weekend to celebrate Fenland’s artistic talent at a special exhibition.
Paintings, photographs, sculptures and jewellery were on show in the church, as more than 80 artists exhibited their work.
Shirley Wright, secretary of the Friends of St Mary’s Church, said: “We had about 430 items exhibited so it was a nice mixture for people to look around.
“We started doing the exhibitions in 1998 and this was one of the best. It just seems to get better each time.”
The exhibition finished with a special ‘Songs of Praise’ on Sunday. All the proceeds will go towards the care of St Mary’s Church.
