THE finest photography of the late daughter of Fenland District Councillor Kit Owen was displayed at the beloved church she used to attend.

Lisa Owen died unexpectedly at her home in Wisbech St Mary on January 3 aged just 42. She had suffered chronic ill health because of a serious back injury sustained on military service as a Royal Navy nurse.

Lisa, a keen photographer, was described as a “valued and much loved” member of the congregation at her village’s St Mary’s Church.

So members came together to exhibit a selection of some her pictures taken from around the world while she travelled in the Navy.

At the time of her death, the Rev Matthew Bradbury paid tribute to Lisa’s “good fortitude and humour” and said some of her pictures were being compiled to be sold in aid of church funds.
