THERE were two Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Leverington – a village fun day on Monday and a tea party on Tuesday.

The fun day at the village’s Sports and Social Club included children’s races, a bouncy castle, fancy dress competition and a display about the history of the village.

Tuesday’s Jubilee tea party was held at St Leonard’s Church and organised by the Friends group.

Food from the 1950s were served with two DVDs screened - Elizabeth II: From Princess to Queen and The Queen: Duty and Sacrifice.

Equipment to show the films was loaned by Cambridgeshire county councillor Steve Tierney.
