A lorry reversing the wrong way up Wisbech High Street left a trail of destruction in its wake this morning.
The vehicle took out a bollard, tore up the road surface and also made contact with the arch sign, which has remained up-right.
Shopkeeper Ray Wicks, of nearby Etcetera, said this is not the first time something like this has happened.
He said: “The lorry backed the wrong way into the high street and took out the bollard before knocking the arch sign part way over. It’s clearly going to have to be taken down for safety reasons again.
“It’s very much a case of I told you so. I’ve complained about lorries going the wrong way and not parking where they should but no one takes action.”
