RECORDS crowds, spectacularly hot weather and a collectors’ dream world of transport made Parson Drove Custom and Classic Vehicle Show a winner on every level.

Councillor Gavin Booth, one of the organisers, said the event “was very successful and the biggest yet. The weather certainly helped with the turnout.”

He said: “Saturday’s music festival with seven live bands was very well attended.

“Sunday was the best attended show in the seven years it has been running with 273 vehicles entered in the Show and Shine competition with many more custom and classic cars and bikes just on display”

Cllr Booth said the raised in excess of £5,000 for charity “and thanks to the various sponsors, helpers and public who supported the show.
