Visitors to the event, which was organised by the Friends of March Railway Station, were treated to refreshments, mince pies, cakes, a mini boot sale and a tombola.
The highlight of the morning was the appearance of the Union of South Africa 60009 steam train, which was built in Doncaster in 1937.
The Friends of March Railway Station are renovating the station to make it more pleasant for commuters.
They are refurbishing rooms which will be used by community groups.
