FORTY primary school youngsters enjoyed a host of experiments as Cromwell Community College’s special guests on World Science Day.
Year 6 pupils from Benwick and Doddington’s primary schools took on an array of space-themed challenges including measuring the hardness of - and trying to smash - ‘space rocks’.
Damien Beeby, a sixth-former at the Chatteris school, even dressed as a spaceman to give the day a more authentic feel.
Youngsters enjoyed lunch at the school and also completed English tasks by doing written work about their experiments.
