Staff at Sainsbury’s in March have today been busy serving customers, stacking shelves ... and dancing in aid of Comic Relief.
On the hour, every hour, staff, some with their faces painted, are leaving their positions and converging on the entrance of the store for a flash mob dance.
The Harlem Shake, the Macarena, Gangnam style, YMCA and Beyonce’s Single Ladies were all packed into a short, energetic routine.
Michelle Connolly, of Sainsbury’s, said: “We’ve had a brilliant response. Customers and kids have been loving it, and we’re getting quite a bit of money for a great cause.
“We’re doing it every hour so I imagine we’ll be shattered by the end of the day.”
