Bosses of a March hotel and bar spent approximately £30,000 a day for 10 days in a swift re fit to get ready for a re-opening ceremony on Friday.
The mayor, Councillor Kit Owen, cut the ribbon to officially welcome customers back into Ye Olde Griffin after closure for an upgrade.
General Managers Marina and Lee Oldale hosted a reception to celebrate the re-opening; guests were welcomed by stilt walkers and a magician.
