Archant

You cant accuse these store managers of being a cold shower after they took gallon loads of water for the ice bucket challenge.

Ten store managers agreed to line up for the charity stunt after being nominated by other Tesco branches across the area.

Store manager Mark Steele said the challenge raised more than £100 for the ALS challenge which has been raising money for research into a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

He said: “It was a bit of a shock to the system but actually once it was done it wasn’t so bad,” he said.

The managers lined up outside the Hostmoor Avenue store at about 4pm on Saturday and, watched by staff and customers, had a good soaking all in the name of a good cause.
