THERE was some spooky things going on at the Oak Garden Centre in Chatteris on Saturday, when nearly 100 children enjoyed a fun packed Halloween Party.
Youngsters plunged their hands into six different gunge tanks to find a variety of hidden rats and bats, and played games including pin the wart on the witch, and whacking a spider with a broomstick as it emerged from a drainpipe.
During the little horror hunt, children went in search of zombies hidden around the London Road garden centre that had been blacked out and decorated for the occasion, and there was a fancy dress competition and a colouring competition.
Every child was presented with a party bag that included a ghost balloon and a glow stick, and Blondie’s Bakes gave children the chance to decorate a cup cake.
“We had a really great afternoon, and everyone enjoyed themselves,” said assistant Greg Newstead. “We were really pleased to welcome everyone to the party, it was a huge success.”
