FENLAND Council is running a six-week pilot project, called WeightFit Class, designed for people keen to change to a healthier lifestyle, get control of their weight and become more active.

The new class started at the George Campbell Leisure Centre in March last week and runs for six weeks.

WeightFit is a new weight management and exercise class combining the benefits of dietary and lifestyle analysis with healthy eating advice and a fitness class.

The classes last for up to one hour and are suitable for all levels of ability so participants can take part at their own pace. Each week members of the class will be:

- Weighed, and even measured if they wish

- Receive a dietary and lifestyle analysis

- Receive information on healthy eating and dietary advice tailored to each individual's lifestyle

- Take part in motivational and fun fitness classes.

To sign up for WeightFit classes, contact the George Campbell Leisure Centre on 01354 622399. If you have any questions about the programme, ask to speak to Jodie Crane, the instructor running the classes.
