IT wasn't the Royal Albert Hall, but youngsters at March's Cavalry School put a huge amount of effort into their own version of Last Night of the Proms.
The musicians all looked smart in evening wear, there were corsages for the ladies and the conductor received lots of applause.
Pupils had made Union Flags which were put to good use during the performance of Land of Hope and Glory. Local musicians joined the pupils from Years two to six.
Music co-ordinator Sarah Edwards said the concert was a celebration of music-making during the past school year. It also saw the launch of the first school orchestra, which will meet weekly from September.
Three members of staff, including headteacher Val Spriggs, will be learning to play the trumpet along with the children. Other members of staff who can play instruments will also join.
