March businessman Glen Hawkins has a driving ambition to help charity in memory of families members who have died of cancer.
Mr Hawkins, who runs Shades Limousines, is shedding his locks next month to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and has set up a Justgiving page for people to support him.
He is having his headshaved at Riverside Barbers in Nene Parade, March on September 26 in aid of the cancer charity and explained he wanted to do something after losing his uncle Bobby Constable to pancreatic cancer earlier this month.
Mr Hawkins, who has two sons Jack (18) and Sam (16), also explained his ex-wife and the boys’ mother Natalie died of a rare cancer nine years ago at the age of 33.
“It seems everyone has lost a friend or family member to cancer, and in many cases they have lost more than one person to the disease. I just wanted to do something and this seemed like a good way of raising money for a charity that does so much to help people with cancer and their friends.
Forty-three-year-old Mr Hawkins is aiming to raise around £500 for the charity with his headshave.
