More than £5,000 has been raised for local charities by staff at Greenvale’s Floods Ferry site over the past six months.
To support staff efforts, the company have donated £1,200 to the fundraising drive, which began earlier this year.
Fundraising kicked off in June, with Peter Pimm raising £965 at his open garden event while a fun lunch held during the summer raised £624 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Then in September, Simon Whittaker raised £1,265 for Magpas by cycling 371 miles in 23 hours and a Macmillan coffee morning organised by staff raised £266.
Since October staff have been playing lunchtime bingo, which has raised £260 for Facet in the last four weeks.
Michelle Walker, HR manager at the site in March said: “We are so proud of our wonderful staff who have achieved such a great total so far – they have really put the ‘fun’ in to ‘fund-raising’.”
