Group of youths set fire to oil seed rape in March farmland

A GROUP of four youths set fire to a small part of an oil seed rape crop growing on farmland in March.

The crop, measuring about 10ft by 3ft, was set alight in a field off Badgeney Road yesterday (Monday) at about 2.30pm.

A witness to the fire saw the youths run away from the field through the smoke.
