A PENSIONER convicted of harassing her neighbours is vowing to appeal against the court's decision.

As soon as Fenland magistrates told Jean Wallis they had found her guilty, she said she would fight the verdict.

Wallis, 74, of March Road, Rings End, had denied harassing Pauline Wiles and her family between June 22 and July 5 last year, by making loud noises and being generally abusive.

During her trial before Fenland magistrates on Wednesday, Wallis had admitted banging and shouting to annoy her neighbours.

She was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs.
