Rosina Watson celebrated her 100th birthday on Monday at Heron House, March.

Mrs Watson, born in Chatteris, moved to March in 1924 with her seven sisters and three brothers, whom she survives.

She was married at St Mary's Church, March, in 1926 and has two sons, Arthur and Dennis. Her husband died in 1953.

Mrs Watson was an agricultural worker until retiring at 60, and says her long life is the result of working and playing hard.

Before moving to Heron House five years ago Mrs Watson lived at St John's Chase, March.
