Whittlesey Rotary Club has raised £4,000 for four local primary schools thanks to two quiz nights.
Harold the giraffe, the Life Education Centre puppet, was in town visiting Alderman Jacobs Primary School, to help educate and entertain children in the well-equipped mobile classroom - something the club helped fund with a £1,800 donation.
The club supported Life Education Centre for many years and every time the mobile classroom visits; parents, teachers and children are engaged and very appreciative of the fun way health and anti-drugs education is provided, says rotary spokesman Stephen Hodson.
The rotary club’s 20th quiz will be held on November 18.
