THE harvest festival service was held at the Methodist Church on Sunday, conducted by the Rev Denise Hague. Lessons were read by Fiona Peters, Veronica Nelson and Kenneth Wilson. Abigail Peters joined in the Lord's Prayer with appropriate actions. Steward was Martin Caress and collection stewards were Isobel Peters and Sarah-Jane Knight. During the service the Rev Hague received gift baskets from Isobel and Abigail Peters and Sarah-Jane Knight. Harvest hymns were sung with words projected on the screen by Desra Church. Organist was Doreen Diggle and floral arrangements were provided by Betty Jones. At the close of the service acorns were handed out to the congregation by Sarah-Jane Knight and Abigail Peters.
