THE congregation of a March church were treated to a lunch-time feast when they held a special harvest service.

Providence Baptist Church followed the family service with a lunch, which was all provided by the congregation.

The harvest celebrations sealed a busy period for the church, with a ten-pin bowling outing and church barbecue also delighting the congregation this summer.

A ‘Food for Thought’ lunch is held at the church on the second Thursday of every month. September’s guest speaker was Pearl Watson, who gave a talk on dolls houses.

The next lunch will be held on October 13 at 12.30pm, where a representative from Christian charity Open Doors will give a talk on ‘the persecuted church’.
