March Town Cricket Club is to swap their cricket bats for paintbrushes and brooms this weekend as it prepares for the new season.

The club is taking part in a nationwide initiative called ‘Cricket Force,’ which invites the public to help give the club facilities at Burrowmoor Road a spring clean before pre-season gets underway on April 8 with the visit of Long Sutton.

The day begins at 9.30am on Saturday (April 1) and runs until 4pm. All those who volunteer will receive a free ‘Cricket Force’ t-shirt, tea and coffee and a fish and chip lunch.
