High speed police chase through Fenland leads to two arrests

Two men were arrested after a high speed police chase through Fenland last night.

A car failed to stop for police at about 11.10pm in Boongate, Peterborough.

There was a pursuit, which reached speeds of 90mph, on the A605 to Whittlesey, Eastrea, Coates and March, finishing about 13 minutes later at the junction of the A141.

A 31-year-old man from March was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and driving with excess alcohol.

A 39-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol, failing to stop and possession of a firearm.
