WHITTLESEY Arts committee member Gillian Fradley opened her house for an art exhibition to coincide with the town's Straw Bear Festival.

Fifteen artists' work was displayed at her home in Whitmore Street. Also displayed were items of jewellery, pottery, sculpture and glass.

And to mark the weekend, there was a glass Straw Bear picture Gillian had designed and produced, which was used on the front cover of the Straw Bear program.

Gillian said: "The weekend was very successful with over 150 people coming through the door to have a look around.

"We sold 10 items of work and had many enquiries about Whittlesey Arts' other activities."

INFORMATION: Anyone wanting information about the club or other events, or wishing to get involved with Whittlesey Arts should call Gillian on 01733 202570.
