Hooded men threaten staff during robbery at village shop in West Norfolk

POLICE are investigating a robbery at a village shop in West Norfolk.

The Co-op store, in Main Road, Clenchwarton, was targeted by two hooded men at about 6.45am and an unknown amount of money was taken.

A police spokesman said the men forced their way inside before threatening staff and making off with “a number of cash bags.”

It is thought the robbers, who had covered their faces, struck as the store was preparing to open.

Sergeant Neil Fraser said initial investigations were under way and officers have been searching the area for evidence.
